History and background In 1996 Princess launched the Classic Roller Toaster onto the market. Because of its distinct design the product was a real departure from all the other toasters then on the market and it remains so. Right from the start, this innovative toaster was a great success, not only in the Netherlands, but also abroad. It inspired Princess to devise a whole new line of household appliances based on this toaster: the New Classics line.
The design of the Princess New Classics line has its roots in timeless classic design features. The result is a warm, nostalgic range featuring the latest technology. Thanks to the stunning chrome finish and sturdy look and feel, it is a line at home in every kitchen.

Development The process of development and design for the New Classics line took three years in total, all the way from the drawing board to the final product. The products were tested in the company and by customers and the process involved a series of modifications until the product reached its final form. For the factories, transforming the blueprints into real products was a real work of art. Its distinct design meant they had to pull out all the stops to meet the standards demanded by Princess in terms of both technology and design. The total process was managed by Princess Director Product Development Gerard van Loon. |

Throughout the process, new products were continually added to the range and many more are expected to follow. The launch of 9 products in total (at the moment there are already 15 products) can be considered to be one of the biggest product launches ever in the world of household appliances.
