Princess Kids Design Brunch 2010

The Princess Kids Design Brunch was held on Sunday 28 March 2010 in the atmospheric Casablanca circus tent in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and presented by Edwin Rutten. Ralf Mackenbach, winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Festival, presented Jaap and Lotte Ouborg with the Princess Kids Design Award for the sale of more than 100,000 kids’ products. Later he performed several of his own, very popular children's songs. A diverse group of performers from Circus Casablanca surprised the guests with a fabulous show. Princess Ambassadors Tonny Eijk and Cas Spijkers provided a musical and culinary surprise. The Dutch prize winners were announced: the Innovation Prize went to Mina Mouchih for her product ‘Automatic Toastie Opener’, the Creativity Prize went to Maaike van Ierland for her product ‘Marshmallow Maker’, and of course, the new Princess Kids Designer 2010 is Julie Hartog for her product 'Electric Pizza Pan’. She has won a week’s stay with her parents at Princess Hotel Bergfrieden, Seefeld (Tirol, Austria) and has been entered to win the international award: Princess Kids Designer of the World!

Princess Jazz Reception 2010 (Announcement of Kids Designer of the World!)

On the eve of the illustrious Bredase Jazz Festival (13-16 May 2010), the Princess Jazz Reception took place on the Spinola boat. There, the Kids Designer of the World 2010 was announced by the jury of the Princess Kids Design campaign, consisting of jury members Edwin Rutten, and Jaap and Lotte Ouborg, and chaired by Jan des Bouvrie. The jury proclaimed 12-year old Carmen Malo Alores from Spain Kids Designer of the World 2010. Carmen designed the automatic rotating spatula for Princess. If Princess can manufacture this product, it will be sold world-wide. Carmen will receive a royalty for each unit sold. In view of the thousands of entries Princess received from kids all over the world, and the enormous interest and publicity this successful worldwide Princess campaign generated, Princess has decided to continue the campaign.
