General Questions:

1.    How can I avoid smoke and odours?
Contact grills are suitable for indoor use because they are almost entirely smoke-free. If your appliance is equipped with a grease collection tray, always ensure that the collection tray is filled with water. Fat and meat juices will be collected and smoke and burning will be avoided.
There is a chance that you will see smoke the first time you use it. This is normal and will not last long. However, if this is not the case, make sure the grill plate is truly clean.

2.    How do I clean my contact grill?
Always remove the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool off fully before touching it. If the grill plates are removable, put them in a bowl with hot water and detergent and leave them to soak for a while. They will subsequently be easy to brush off and rinse.
Non-removable grill plates can be cleaned with a damp cloth and dishwashing liquid.

3.    Is the housing dishwasher safe?
No, use a damp cloth with water and detergent to clean the housing and handgrips.

4.    Can I use my indoor grill on the balcony?
It is not possible to use a contact grill that is designed for indoor use outside. Rain or a humid environment may influence the safety of the product. Some grills are suitable for indoor and outdoor use (see the user manual).

5.    My meat is not really getting fully cooked on my contact grill.
Before cooking, make sure that the appliance is thoroughly preheated and at temperature. For further instructions about preheating, please consult the manual.

6.    What is the temperature of each setting on a grill with an adjustable thermostat?
- 0 = Off
- Start of the temperature scale:
Warming function = 120-150°C.
- Middle of the temperature scale:
Fry slowly = 150-170°C.
- End of the temperature scale:
Fry quickly = 170-220°C.

7.    What utensils can I use when grilling?
Use only wooden or plastic utensils. Metal utensils may damage the non-stick coating of the griddle.
