    Plain tap water.
     
  2. How do I clean my ice cube maker?
    Before you begin cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket. Clean the inside and outside with a damp cloth. Do not clean the appliance using aggressive detergents or solvents.
    Do not clean the appliance with detergent, either.
    Do not leave water in the unit for a long period of time. The water may become contaminated.
    We advise you to regularly clean the appliance with an anti-algae and anti-bacterial agent. Follow the instructions on the packaging. A generous amount of lemon juice in the cleaning water is a good alternative.
    We advise adding a little (half a teaspoon) lemon juice to the water every time you fill the ice cube maker. The lemon juice running through the cooling system of your ice maker will make your house smell good, like fresh lemon. The acids in the juice will also deter the growth of bacteria, mould and allergens in the air. The lemon juice also helps keep the water flow system fresher between cleanings.
