General Questions

  1. When I first used the appliance, it produced a strange smell. Is it damaged/broken?
    Probably not. In many cases new appliances sometimes produce an odour when they are first used. This is normal and it stops after you have used the appliance several times. If it does not stop, clean the appliance with a damp cloth after it has cooled. When you heat it up the next time, the smell should have disappeared. If this is not the case, please contact Princess.   2. Can I use my curling iron on children’s hair? 
    Yes, do however use it under adult supervision.
     
  3. Can I use my curling iron on dyed hair or on a permanent? 
    Yes, but do not use it too frequently. The high temperature can damage your hair. Use special creams or oils to protect your hair from damage.
     
  4. Can I use my curling iron with styling products like gel, mousse and hairspray? 
    Yes, but make sure your hair is dry before using it.
     
  5. Does the curling iron work on all types of hair? 
    Yes, the curling iron is available in different models with different accessories, for short, long, thick or thin hair.
     
  6. How do I clean my curling iron? 
    Turn it off and let it cool completely. Then you can wipe the rod and the handgrip with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water! The round styling brush can be cleaned in soapy water.
     
  7. I am not managing to create good curls. What should I do?
    Perhaps you have wrapped too much hair around the rod.
    Do not make the lock of hair too thick when using the curl attachments or slidable brush. The thinner the lock of hair, the tighter the curl will be.
    Perhaps you have not kept the attachment in your hair long enough.
    Keep the styler in your hair for 5 to 10 seconds, depending on the thickness of the lock of hair.
     
  8. How long should I keep my hair in the curling iron for best results?
    Depending on the temperature you have chosen and the type of hair you have, you may use the curling iron no longer than 10 seconds in your hair. This may be longer for thick hair and shorter for thin hair. You can try out what temperature corresponds to what number of seconds for the desired result, but be very careful because you can damage your hair if you keep the curling iron in your hair too long.
