    Probably not. In many cases new appliances sometimes produce an odour when they are first used. This is normal and it stops after you have used the appliance several times.   7. I am not managing to create good curls. What should I do?
    Perhaps you have wrapped too much hair around the rod.

    Perhaps you have not kept the attachment in your hair long enough.
