General Questions:

  1. How does the Princess rice cooker work?
The Princess rice cooker heats the water in the rice cooker to 100°C, causing the water to boil and steam to be released. If there is no more water in the inner pan, the appliance automatically switches to the warming function. The heating element for the warming function saves energy. While the warming function is engaged, occasionally stir the rice to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom.

  2. The rice cooker does not work.
Make sure the rice cooker is connected correctly and whether there is enough water in the water reservoir. If it still does not work, please contact Princess.

  3. The rice is sticking to the bottom of the inner pan.
There is not enough water in the inner pan. Add water to the inner pan.

  4. The heating element does not heat properly.
Make sure that there is nothing under the inner pan or on the heating element. If there is, remove it.

  5. Do I need to stay in the kitchen while my food is cooking in the Princess rice cooker?
No, you do not need to keep an eye on the rice cooker. You can simply press the selection button for the cooking or warming function and leave the kitchen.

  6. I have damaged the non-stick coating of the inner pan. Is this dangerous? Should I replace the inner pan?
We guarantee that the non-stick coating was made in accordance with the rules for materials that come into contact with food. The damage caused by use is therefore no problem. We recommend using plastic or wooden spatulas and no metal utensils to prevent the non-stick coating from becoming damaged. In order to keep the non-stick coating smooth as long as possible, we advise that you do not cut any food in the inner pan.
  7. What is the best way to clean my rice cooker?
Use a sponge with hot water and detergent to clean the inner pan and lid. Do not use abrasive cleaners and/or metal scouring pads, as these will damage the rice cooker. If the ingredients stick to the bottom of the inner pan, soak the inner pan in water before washing it.  Never immerse the appliance in water, use water only in the inner pan.
